Sydney has been changing in so many ways lately and I am feeling the need to write some of the new things down before the baby comes so that I can have a record of all the new things that she has been doing.Sydney is talking so much! She will pretty much copy anything that I say. She has started to copy me when we say her good night prayers. The last few nights she has been adding her own things to pray about. Last night she was very insistent that we pray for her daddy, and another time she wanted to pray for all the kitties.
Speaking of Kitties, they just happen to be Sydney's latest obsession. She talks about kitties all day long. She plays and sleeps with her toy kitties. She loves to watch any movie that has cats in them, Bolt and Aristocats are her currant favorites right now. Sydney even had to sleep with the Bolt movie case the other night. The few nights ago she even dreamed about kitties, and was calling out to them in her sleep, "Here kitty, kitty, kitty! Meow! Come on kitty!". I asked her yesterday if she would rather have a kitty or a baby, and her response was " a Kitty!" Then I asked her what color of a kitty she wanted and she said, "white and black."
Sydney is finally starting to play more on her own. She has a cute imagination and she loves to play with all her toys. Sydney loves basket ball and makes everything into a basket. All balls are basket balls, or "sass-a-balls" as Sydney calls them. We have lots of fun throwing, catching and making baskets in just about everything.
The other day Sydney had a toy alligator and a toy pig. She started making the alligator eat the pigs head. She would start yelling "Oh no pig! Oh no alli!(gator) Oh no head!" It was so funny to watch her as she made the alligator eat the pig over and over. I don't know how she figured that one out, but sense then she has made several other of her animals eat each other.
Sydney has started quoting her favorite movies. She will be watching them and when her favorite parts come she will say what the characters say before they say them. Or She will react to the action in the movie, by saying "uh-oh", "Oh No!" and other things just as the different characters are falling down or making mistakes. My favorite was when she was watching Wall-e the other day. Wall-e and Eve just met and started introducing themselves. Sydney started saying the same things as Wall-e and Eve in the exact same voices, with the same inflections and everything. It was hilarious to watch her talking like a robot. Maybe she has been watching to much t.v. lately!
She loves it when her friends come over to play. She usually greats them at the door with a big hug. She also has started watching out the window for when her Daddy comes home. Her face lights up when he walks up to the house and and she greats him with a big hug and a kiss!
Sydney is doing wonderful with her big girl bed. She has no problem falling asleep at nights in her bed and she is getting a lot better at sleeping in it during nap time. When we tell her it is bed time she has to start gathering up all her little ""Friends" to take to bed with her. On any given night she usually has a few puppies, kitties, and ponies in her bed with her. It is so funny to watch her walk up to bed with her arms full and bursting with all her "friends" She usually will stay up for a little bit after I have tucked her in, and read books to herself. Then she just snuggles into bed and falls asleep.
Anyway those are just a few things that my little girl has been doing lately. I hope that I will be able to keep track of all the new things that she does after the baby is born too!
