Friday
Sydney is having a good day. Since her surgery Sydney has been on meds that have made her paralyzed so that she cant move or disrupt any of the tubes coming out of her. Today they are taking her off of that medicine and now we are just waiting for the meds to work its way out of her body. We are hopeing to see some movement in her arms and legs soon. As she starts to move around the extra fluids on her body should be able to drain off and she will start to look more like our precious little girl. We still think that they might close her chest on monday. We still have about 10 days to 2 weeks in the PICU and then we will be moved to another floor for about five days, needless to say we are getting really sick of hospitals! Thanks for all of your thoughts and your prayers we have needed them and still do!

Caralee ment 10 days to 2 weeks.
Yeah...we know what you meant...or at least I did ;)
Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys. What a sweet little girl Sydney is, we can only imagine what you two must be going through. What a wonderful day it will be when you can take that bundle of joy home, and away from that miserable hospital. In the mean time hang in there. God Bless.
My own dear little daughter, Emma, age 3, announced yesterday that she would "prayer dance" for her little cousin (something she made up). She proceeded to sing "make better Siddy, baby Siddy" for about a half an hour straight, with a lot of energy and all the care she could muster, running and marching and jumping around our rocking chair and ending with an "all done" and a sort-of 'amen'.
The spontaneousness and devotion that she did it with tells me she was motivated by inspired pure love.
